The collection of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum is made up of about 1000 works that the Spanish State purchased from the Thyssen-Bornemisza family in July 1993. The museum is located in a privileged location, the Villahermosa Palace. This palace was built at the end of the 18th century and is a clear example of Madrid`s neoclassical architecture. The museum has three floors, to walk it is recommended to start on the second floor and then go down to the first and the ground floor. During this tour we will see the historical evolution of painting, with works that span the XVII-XX centuries.
